The rule in United Kingdom, in full
Since Brexit, the UK's own cash-control rule applies: GBP 10,000 or more (or equivalent in any currency) must be declared when entering or leaving Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales). Same threshold both directions, per traveller. Northern Ireland has different rules for movements to/from the Republic of Ireland (EU rules may apply at that border). Non-declaration can result in seizure and a fine of up to GBP 5,000.
