How much cash can you take to Turkey?
There is no cap on what you may carry into Turkey. At USD 10,000 or more you must tell customs, which is free and takes a few minutes. Leaving is a different figure — USD 5,000.

Applies per person. Each traveller has their own figure. That does not make splitting a large sum across a group to avoid the threshold lawful — several countries treat that as an offence in its own right.

NOTE: entry and exit limits differ. ENTRY: no limit on bringing in foreign currency, but amounts exceeding USD 10,000 equivalent must be declared to be able to re-export them on departure. EXIT: export of foreign currency is limited to USD 5,000 equivalent without bank documentation; above USD 5,000 requires bank purchase receipts proving funds were obtained legally in Turkey. Turkish lira (TRY): max TRY 25,000 may be carried in or out. Per individual traveller.
