Beach holiday packing list
A beach destination is not warm all year, and this is where generic lists fail most visibly. Half of the tropics runs on wet and dry rather than four seasons, and a monsoon is a more important packing fact than a temperature. Give us the dates and the list is built from what that destination actually does in those weeks.
Sun protection is the part worth getting right and the part most affected by the bag. Full-size sunscreen does not survive security in a cabin bag, so with carry-on only it is either a small bottle or bought on arrival. The list says which, rather than listing 'sunscreen' and leaving it there.
What this trip type changes
Sun items appear where the sun is actually strong
High-factor sun protection, a hat and sunglasses are gated on latitude and the month — not on the word 'beach'.
Wet season is a real answer
If the destination's rain days for those months are high, the list says rain is likely and packs for it. A dry-season list does not.
Liquids get flagged against your bag setup
Sunscreen, after-sun and insect repellent are the three most-binned items at security. Cabin-only travellers see that before they pack.
